Privacy policy
Short version: this website doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you, and doesn't sell anything about you. This page explains the details.
Who we are
PluginDoctor is run by Simon Foy. If you have a question about your data, email [email protected].
This website
The site is a set of static pages. It doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers, and you don't need an account to use it.
Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
Like any website, our hosting provider processes basic request data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We don't use this to identify you.
Scans and code audits
When you scan a plugin, the link you paste or the jar you upload is sent to our scanner at api.plugindoctor.gg. The jar is read in memory and never stored.
We store the scan report: the file's name and fingerprint (hash), the plugin's name and version from its descriptor, and the findings. Reports are kept so repeat scans are instant, and anyone with a report's link can view it. Email us to have a report removed.
Your IP address is used briefly to rate-limit scans and isn't stored with reports.
Code audits aren't live yet. Before they launch, we'll update this policy to explain exactly how uploaded source code is handled.
Email and Discord
If you email us, we use your message only to reply. If you join our Discord, Discord's own privacy policy applies to what you share there.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
